The Hernando Police Department's Administrative Staff consists of James M. Riley, Chief of Police; Shane Ellis, Assistant Chief of Police; Lee Hodge, Captain of Patrol; and Jeny Black, Supervisor Communications.
Chief James M. Riley began his law enforcement career with the Hernando Police Department in 1988 and was appointed Chief of Police in 2001. Assistant Chief Shane Ellis in 1995 and Captain Lee Hodge in 1996 both began their law enforcement career with Hernando Police Department also. Jeny Black began her law enforcement communications career in 1992.
